The Importance of Early Childhood Education

The socioemotional and physical development of young children has a direct effect on who they will become. Brain development happens most rapidly during the early years, thus a strong and supportive environment is critical. Children enrolled in an Early Childhood program tend achieve more success at school. Early Childhood Education builds a strong foundation for language, literacy and thinking skills as well as self-control and self-confidence.  

Confidence

Self-confidence means that children believe in their own abilities and capabilities. Due to this, self-confident children are more likely to challenge themselves in a learning environment.

Respect

 Being respectful of others and their values and beliefs can ensure that they develop positive relationships with their family, friends, and those in their communities throughout their life.

Teamwork

The skills learned from team building are important parts of personal and group development in children. During team building activities, children have the chance to communicate with each other and work towards a common goal.

Cognitive Skills

Cognitive development means how children think, explore and figure things out. It is the development of knowledge, skills, problem solving and dispositions, which help children to think about and understand the world around them. Brain development is part of cognitive development.
